THINK COMFORT FOOD We have passed this little diner style grille many times on the way to Dani's Daytime Diner and decided it was time to give it a try. Everything was just right. My wife had the Two Egg meal with a slice of ham; the ham was so large and thick, she had to bring some of it home. I had the Traditional Breakfast consisting of an English Muffin, Grits, 2 scrambled eggs and 4 sausage links. It was very good. This is a very nice little "comfort food" kind of place. Service - 5 STARS Food - 4 STARS Ambiance/Decor - 3 STARS Location - 4 STARS Value - 4 STARS Cleanliness - 3 STARS

Yelp lead me to this local spot during a recent weekend in Fort Myers. To be honest, this isn't some place that I would've normally stopped, but I trusted that Yelp wouldn't lead me astray! Other Yelpers are correct; this is not the most aesthetically pleasing restaurant in Fort Myers. Don't be fooled by the appearance, as this is your typical greasy-spoon diner full of locals and regulars. The staff was insanely friendly and welcoming! They even accommodated my friend's special request on how to prepare her omelette! The breakfast potatoes here are very good. They're clearly cut fresh and flash fried. The portions here are really large and can easily be split.

2 cooks, 2 waitresses, 15 tables if you include outside. So pretty understaffed, but everyone is working their asses off. Grouper is fresh and amazing, and very filling so u can probably share.

Wanted to try since all reviews were good... "BOY WAS I WRONG!!" Food was disgusting, bacon was burnt and let's not forget all the flies bothering me while trying to eat... Also saw lots of mildew.. not a place I would revisit...

Great plsce for breakfast or lunch. Huge portions of good food, some creative dishes. Try the breakfastdilla or beer battered grouper. Hole in thef wall place but dynamite. Third visit in 2 weels. Need I say more?

I love Fowler Street Grill! A great place for breakfast and lunch! The best sausage biscuits around, and they always have fantastic lunch specials! I have a very limited time for my lunch and they always get me in, fed, and on my way quickly and politely!

Probably best breakfast sandwich I ever had! Simple Egg, Bacon, and Cheese on Wheat toast with home fries. Great and friendly service.

Great food, friendly and efficient staff. We live in the Cape and drive all the way out here for breakfast at least a few times a month.

The place is crowded and very small. The food was okay and the service was lack - luster. The sausage gravy was a HUGE disappointment!! It's packaged white gravy mix and when I asked the server, "Is this Sausage Gravy?", she took it and put it back through the window to the kitchen. The cook then put a piece of cut up sausage patty on top of it! I was told "that's how they make it"! While standing at the counter to pay it was observed that the kitchen cooks were cross contaminating foods. I prefer to not ever patronize this place again.

Nothing to knock my socks off but an average breakfast. I had 3 HUGE pancakes with 2 sausage patties, to much to finish. The service was fast and courteous will come back if we have to.

Don't be fooled by the appearance!! It doesn't look like the best place ever but the staff is very friendly. The menu is simple, but very diverse. The food is pretty amazing, and I wasn't disappointed at all with it. I got a bbq cheddar half pound burger done well, and it was delivered to perfection! I highly recommend this place if you're looking for an excellent American style restaurant.

5-stars from the standpoint of being good at what they are--a hole in the wall (and I mean that in the best way) restaurant with good food and friendly service. I hardly ever get my "eggs over medium" order done the right way, but it was here. Coffee was good and the home fries tasty. Waitresses were fast and attentive. I'd definitely return.

I was very disappointed! My co-workers had ordered lunch from here and the food was cold and tasted refrigerated. But I decided to give it a try. I came here for breakfast and besides the eggs everything was bad. The grits were watered down. The bacon was only fat, with grease all over the plate. The utensils had rust spot on them. For the price I rather go to crackle barrel, Waffle House than here. Very unhappy!

We had breakfast there yesterday and we each had an omelet, one bacon and one Italian sausage. The one thing I can say about them is they didn't skimp on the cheese but I only found three small pieces of sausage in mine, and it was all at one end. Same with the bacon omelet, not much bacon and all at one end. Since they didn't have the sourdough toast we wanted, we ordered a biscuit instead. Have to say, the biscuit was the high point of the meal. Very light and fluffy. They only served home style potatoes so we had no choice there. There were more potatoes on the plate than anything else, and the were extremely salty and every piece was burned to a crisp. Almost impossible to get down. Every other review talked about how large the portions were but we did not find that to be true. We didn't leave hungry but portion size was nothing more than average. It was a small hole in the wall place that had seen better days but the service was good. These blue collar places are usually my favorite since they generally serve the best food. But this just wasn't one of them. Don't think I'll be going back.
